Gleaning life “weekly” nuggets for Rebuilding Yourself. Monday June 10, 2019.
Topic: What satisfies man?
Scriptural Foundation:
Isaiah 55:1-5; Job 20:18-23;
Store Scripture: Psalm 62:10. BBE version. Have no faith in the rewards of evil-doing, or in profits wrongly made: if your wealth is increased, do not put your hopes on it.
What satisfy man is the big question poised before us this week. Men are constantly spending money which is very natural. However, the only thing unusual about it, is selling their lives for things that are not necessary or beneficial in daily life viz and viz things that do not satisfy. The immortal mind of man can only be satisfied with the immortal God but not with wealth, pleasure, greatness and honor. No man, having lusted for these things, has ever been satisfied upon receiving them to the full. They have proved to be vanities and vexation of spirit, only pacifying for the moment. This leaves man’s heart with an aching void and a consciousness that man was made for higher and nobler things. Jesus rightly said so that a man’s life doesn’t consist in abundance of material possession. Luke 12:13-15. Our No one text on this subject, Prophet Isaiah this week clearly reveal God’s mind on thus subject. Hear Bro Job also as you glean from his writing in Job 31:23-24. Let God alone be your security is my humble conclusion this week my dear friend.
Here’s my prayers
I sincerely pray we all have this knowledge and grow in such understanding in Jesus mighty name.
