Topic: Christ won “Victory” for us on the cross
Scriptural Foundation: Luke 1:67-79; Romans 6:1-14; Colossians 2:6-15.

Let me join others to say happy Easter to you. Like I told our congregants in our worship this Easter morning service, we’re rejoicing for the facts, that Christ was born, lived, died and buried as man yet God raised Him through the Holy Spirit power as prophesied, He rose and later ascended up to sit at our Father’s right hand with all powers. It’s very interesting to note that Bro Luke after having carefully investigated all the facts about Christ wrote in (1:1-4) for both Theophilus and us to know and understand. Notice how he documented Christ’s life from before his birth through His death, and resurrection. Make out time to read details of Zechariah prophecy in Luke 1:67-79. Jesus carried out His ministry in the power of the Holy Spirit Luke 3:21-23 to the fulfillment of His mission announcing the good news of salvation. Christ showed numerous times HIS compassion for the poor and the outcast. He ultimately fulfilled prophecy and carried out his PURPOSE on earth which was: to SEEK and SAVE the LOST. Bro Luke being a well lettered medical doctor, gives the fullest account of Christ’s birth etc.
Conclusion, Apostle Paul in Colossians 2:6-15 tells everything Christ did for us on the cross. How Christ won us “Victory” on the cross. He in fact triumphed for us in three realms Earth, Hell and Heaven. We close with Colossians 2:15. “On the cross, Christ won the fight (disarmed, spoiled, stripped and made a public spectacle of all the bad spirits that had authority. He beat them completely. He took all their weapons away from them. He showed everyone that He is the ruler over all these other powerful spirits”.
