Scriptural Foundation: 1 Timothy 6:11-16; 1 Corinthians 9:24-27
Store Scripture: 1 Timothy 1:18. Web version. I commit this instruction to you, my child Timothy, according to the prophecies which were given to you before, that by them you may wage the good warfare.

We’re daily confronted with all sorts of battles from all sides as believers. But thanks be to God who has given us victory through Christ Jesus 1 Corinthians 15:57. In pursuance of godly living, apostle Paul made it clear to his spiritual son Timothy that a good fight of faith will be involved and necessary. 1 Timothy 1:18-20. We must be ready to wage war along these lines:
1. Wage a good warfare.
2. Holding on faithfully by faith.
3. Hold a good conscience.
4. Exercise self-control in all things.
5. Do not run aimlessly.
6. Do not box as beating the air (define your target).
7. Live a discipline life.
8. Keep your body under control.

Let’s close with Proverbs 15:9 version. The lifestyle of the wicked is detestable to the LORD, but he loves those who ardently pursue righteousness.
