An expedient invitation to man

2 min read

Gleaning life “weekly” nuggets for Rebuilding Yourself. Monday June 17, 2019.

Topic: An expedient invitation to man
Scriptural Foundation:
2 Chronicles 15:1-19; Isaiah 55:1-5
Store Scripture: Mathew 5:6. ISV version. How blessed are those who are hungry and thirsty for righteousness, because it is they who will be satisfied!

Fathers were celebrated across the globe yesterday. Here in GMA HQ, Ikorodu-Lagos, Nigeria. Grace my wife led our spouses along with our children to celebrate us fathers in church yesterday. It was glorious plus I personally received several SPECIAL greetings from both my biological and spiritual children globally. Below is one of such sent to me among several others. The wordings touched my heart and also poised challenge. “Happy father’s day. With fathers like you whose hearts are knitted to our Father in heaven, we can go to sleep with two eyes closed. Thanks for being a father indeed”. Let me say blessed and happy father’s day to all fathers out there sharing this nugget today. Note Judah and the Benjamites experienced great distress along with every kind of travails as a result of forsaking God in 2 Chronicles 15. However, King Asa cried to God for help, exercised faith and wisely responded by engaging them in some reforms by assembling his citizens to SEEK God’s face, turning their penitent hearts to SEEK Him. Gladly this resulted in their JOYS being RESTORED as one of our main text this week shows from 2 Chronicles 15:8-19.

Let us conclude with two very important classes of invitations from Prophet Isaiah 55:1. They are that:
(a) Every thirsty soul to come drink
(b) Everyone that has no money or without money to come unto Him and get for FREE.

I pray we in this generation heed this clarion call and respond promptly.
